December 26th is National Thank You Note Day! It is a day to remind people to send out thank you cards after the holidays. Here at the Sacramento History Museum, we have a lot to be thankful for. Not only have we had very successful events and a busy school field trip season this year but we continue to make videos for social media, like this one, to reach people wherever they are in the world. One of the things we never expected is that we’ve received gifts from people across the country and many of those items we can use in our print shop exhibit and in our demonstrations. In this video, Jared letterpress printed “THANK YOU!” using some 30 line pica sized wood type in the French Clarendon typeface. This type was made over 130 years ago by the Hamilton Wood Type Company. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press. Thank you for watching our videos this year and supporting the Sacramento History Museum! #SacHistoryMuseum #ThankYou #printing #museum #s...
