🌳 East Village Green is being hyped as downtown San Diego’s “Central Park” — but is it actually enough? Spanning about 3.6 acres in the heart of East Village, this new park promises a central lawn, playground and splash pad, off-leash dog parks, public art, and a community center for events. On paper, it sounds like exactly what downtown needs after years of nonstop high-rise construction and concrete. But here’s the debate: is this a true game-changer, or a long-overdue band-aid? Set to open in late 2025 but now expected to open in early 2026! Just a couple months away. just blocks from Petco Park and thousands of apartments, East Village Green could finally give residents room to breathe — or it could expose how far behind San Diego is on urban green space compared to other major cities. One park won’t fix downtown… but it might force the city to answer why it took this long. What do yall think San Diego? #sandiegorealestate #sandiegoevents #sandiegocalifornia
