🇳🇴 For so many reasons, I have not been able publish this post from Bergen before now. The last stop in the Viking ocean cruise I’ve been posting about for some time. Sharing these photos is an emotional close, of sorts, on a life-changing chapter. The cruise was the last international trip I took before I found out something may be wrong with my kidneys. Then may became there is. Then many tests and so many appointments later it was, “You have kidney disease.” A fact my body knew for some time but which wasn’t apparent enough to catch before becoming so serious that my 1st nephrologist glibly stated my kidneys were failing and there was nothing he could do. Super profesh! Great guy. 0/10 I do not recommend. A few other opinions later and it was confirmed I am now a person living with Chronic Kidney Disease. But that I’m not dying tomorrow. So good to know right! When I look back on these photos of Bergen, I remember being sad to be leaving Europe but so grateful to get to travel ...
