What actually works👇🏼
Ok yes, I LOVE adding veggies into recipes to boost the nutrition & serve them in creative + familiar ways to build comfort
BUT my goal isn’t to “trick” or “hide” them bc what good is that doing in the long run?? I want our kids to know veggies can taste good & help us feel good too🙂↕️
Soo how can we spark interest in veggies?!
- include them in the kitchen (promise it pays off)
- offer veggies outside of mealtimes (snacks are great low pressure times)
- talk about them (what superpower do they have? what shape are they? what sound do they make?)
- serve them in diff shapes, textures, & flavor profiles (help them taste good!)
- give them options! (should we make carrots or broccoli tonight?! would you like me to cut it this way or this way?)
& lastly, don’t wait until they’re older
Start now, stay consistent, explore w them, & show them how to eat them🫶🏼 your little one can totes enjoy veggies, even if they don’t think so YET
SAVE to reference later & ...
