Ruben Amorim has suggested he will LEAVE Man United when his contract expires in June 2027. ❌
In a bombshell statement after drawing to Leeds, Amorim said:
"I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not to be the coach of Manchester United, that’s clear.
“I'm not going to quit. I will do my job until the other guy is coming here to replace me.
"And that is going to finish in 18 months, and then everyone is going to to move on. That was the deal. That is my job, not to be a coach.
"If people cannot handle the Gary Neville's and the critics, we need to change the club.”
talkSPORT understands there is growing tension between Ruben Amorim and United’s director of football Jason Wilcox.
Sources close to Old Trafford say Wilcox would like Amorim to be more tactically adaptable, while the Portuguese has also been told bringing in reinforcements this transfer window is unlikely. 😬
