Oh wow. #Capitals 🇺🇸 defenseman Jakob Chychrun says he never heard anything from Hockey Canada in regards to the Olympics, so it looks like he isn't on the team injury reserve. Chychrun, 27, has 15 goals, 31 points through 42 games played with Washington this season, ninth in league scoring by a defenseman. Chychrun has never represented Canada's senior mens national team, but chose to represent Canada over the USA in IIHF competition at the 2016 IIHF U18 World Junior Championship, making him a Canadian national team player, not American.
