They act like I don’t do nothing… but I’ve done more than I should—at prices I shouldn’t. 🎈😅
Here’s the educational part (because some of y’all are still pricing like it’s a hobby):
If your price only covers balloons… you’re donating your labor.
Your quote needs to cover everything the client doesn’t see, like:
✅ Time: shopping, prepping, inflating, building, loading, driving, installing, striking
✅ Labor: you + helpers (and payroll/tips)
✅ Materials: balloons, frames, tape, glue dots, fishing line, weights, backups
✅ Tools & equipment: pumps, sizers, ladders, carts, compressors (wear & tear)
✅ Business costs: rent, insurance, gas, parking, software, taxes
✅ Skill: YEARS of experience so their event looks “effortless”
✅ Risk: last-minute changes, weather, venue rules, timelines
Quick check:
If you feel resentful after the job… you undercharged.
If you’re exhausted and can’t reinvest… you undercharged.
If you’re booked but still broke… you undercharged.
2026 me? Still kind. Still...
