January 02, 2026, North Rhine-Westphalia, Freudenberg, Germany: Snow lies on the roofs of the historic old town. Several centimetres of snow fell as far as the Rhineland on Friday morning. Snow-clearing services were in constant operation. It will remain frosty outside at the weekend too. The German Weather Service is expecting up to ten centimetres of fresh snow at high altitudes.
