This photo series is from my return to Puerto Rico after 11 years. As someone who is half Puerto Rican, I find this trip particularly meaningful. The last time I visited the island was over a decade ago, but I was fortunate to return in the summer of 2021. The photos capture the lingering effects of Hurricane Maria, the earthquakes, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic while also showcasing the natural beauty and resilience of the island.
