In 1995 a super bowl ad ran in front of over 80 million people that had no product. ㅤ In fact all these years later we still don't know exactly which product its about, but it doesn't actually matter, because it put the brand behind it in the history books forever. ㅤ That brand is Jeep. ㅤ The ad was so surprising when it launched, that it became one of the most decorated commercials in automotive history. ㅤ It won the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Lions festival, which was the first time a US based agency had won the award since 1986. ㅤ It won Ad of the Year from Ad Age, and received top honors from The One Show. ㅤ But the reason why it won is simple. ㅤ The ad captures what Jeep actually built. ㅤ Not a product. ㅤ Not some celebrity endorsement. ㅤ A brand.
