Bacon and Cabbage Gratin
In case you don’t know, bacon and cabbage go so well together, like this bacon and cabbage gratin dish. It’s so easy to make and so delicious. I’m using Kayem Small batch Bacon on this dish which is a thick bacon handcrafted using only premium cuts of pork and slowly smoked. This dish has minimal ingredients but it’s hearty, cozy, and the perfect winter dish. Recipe below!

Yelds: 4 servings
6 -8 oz Slow Smoked Maplewood Bacon
5-6 white cabbage wedges
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup gruyere cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh thyme
Instructions
Preheat the oven at 400F degrees.
In a cast iron skillet start sautéing the bacon in medium heat until the fat starts to render.
Remove bacon from the pan.
Add cabbage wedges into the pan and char them well on both sides for about 10 minutes.
Pour heavy cream into the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Add fresh thyme.
Bring back bacon into the pan
