Today's #WednesdayMotivation comes from Maya Angelou. As a poet and writer, she is deeply respected as a spokesperson for Black women and Black culture. Her books center on themes including racism, identity, and family. Many argue that Angelou's autobiographies set a precedent for not only other Black women writers, but also African-American autobiography as a whole. Her work is still studied and celebrated today. Fun Fact: Did you know that Maya Angelou is also the first Black woman to be depicted on a U.S. quarter? #BlackHistoryMonth #MayaAngelou
