Yung-Chuan Ko, PMP, saw the passion entrepreneurs in rural Taiwan had for delivering positive social impact. They just needed some upskilling to get the job done. So he teamed up with his colleagues from the PMI Taipei, Taiwan Chapter for a coaching program. The focus? Agile. “Agile management is about collaboration, where people develop a common goal to solve problems together,” Ko says. “This is not simply a tool but a mindset.” Once the startup teams completed two training sessions, they were paired with a volunteer coach. The result? 57% reported an increase in productivity, 36% saw a rise in team autonomy and 14% posted a decrease in their failure rate. But Ko doesn’t want to stop there.
