Happening now at Wells Fargo Arena: As the only DMPS school at this year’s state tournament, Des Moines Hoover is set to make its first #iahsbkb state appearance since 2016. Thanks to a successful GoFundMe, 450 Hoover students are in the building tonight who may not be otherwise. Organized by Todd Jacobus — a Hoover graduate and president of the Hoover-Meredith Community Learning Foundation — the GoFundMe raised more than $4,600 for student tickets on 131 donations.
