At a primary school in the UK, a lot has changed in the last three years. What’s different? A newfound appreciation for PLAY. Both students and teachers have become more engaged and curious with a shift to a play-based approach—and learning has become more joyful for everyone. “Before the pandemic, [learning] was very structured,” one teacher said. “Play was the reward.” Now, each class has three playful learning experiences in different areas of the school every week.
