Tulip season in The Netherlands typically runs from the end of March until mid May, but the flowers are usually at their peak around the middle of April. But you know what else is at their peak? Tourists— especially at the fields close to Amsterdam like Lisse and Keukenhof. Solution? Head to the island of Goeree Overflakkee (90 mins south) to beat the crowds; there are typically 15+ tulip fields to explore and, as you can see, you’ll pretty much have them all to yourself!
