We have begun a new phase of our work in Syria: landmine removal. Across Syria, unexploded mines continue to kill and injure civilians long after the fighting has stopped. Landmines are the only way Assad and his allies are still able to kill people. Clearing them is slow, dangerous, and essential for people to safely return home.
