A few days ago, I had the immense honor of photographing the First Son of New Orleans NACHO 🐾 Son to Madam Mayor Helena Moreno and First Man Chris Meeks. This was my first time ever photographing a dog, so yes… I was a little nervous! But the moment Nacho walked through the door, he ran straight to me and once that leash came off? Pure chaos in the best way possible 😂 Nacho is truly a joy. Sweet, full of personality, and every bit the professional. The Mystic Krewe of Barkus has officially named NACHO their Celebrity Grand Marshal, but make no mistake he’s no newcomer. Nacho is Barkus royalty, having served the krewe over the years as Duke, Grand Duke, Earl, and Grand Marshal, earning love and admiration from parade goers and fellow krewe members alike. Many may remember his legendary appearance in the “Bark to the Future” themed parade, when he rode proudly in his own life size DeLorean float, built by his dad.
