Taking our bland writing, as I call it, and making it "spicy" and full of details involves practice and lots of modeling. I’ve seen this anchor chart on Pinterest before and finally decided to make my own version. I have finally gotten into the rhythm of our writer’s workshop and mixing it with our mentor text of the week (using Rooted in Reading as part of our lessons).
