#whykdwednesday with sophomore Elena Bolanos! 🤍 “When I first came to Vanderbilt I was hesitant that I wanted to be part of a sorority. I told myself that I would give it a chance, since all my friends were going through the recruitment process and seemed so excited. While it sounds cliche, this all changed when I walked into KD for the first time. I immediately felt welcomed as my true self, a feeling that only continued the more I went through recruitment. Every round in KD made me feel like I was talking with a friend that I had known my entire life. KD has introduced me to the most genuine, kind-hearted girls. Being a part of a group with these women has most certainly enriched my time at Vanderbilt, giving me the opportunity to belong to a community that not only upholds my values and ideals, but stands up to make all of our time at Vanderbilt safer and more inclusive.
