My tips: Personally, I don’t fly with my basket or detachable cup holder because I’m scared they’ll knock it off and lose it. Scootz at times comes back with scratches and scuffs but for the most part I’ve been pretty grateful for my positive experiences flying. I also always notify the airline I’m flying with in advance that I’ll be traveling with a mobility scooter. They usually ask for information like battery type and weight to help them accommodate. I know there’s many many stories of airlines damaging or even losing mobility devices, which is heartbreaking. There’s definitely a HUGE opportunity for airlines to better train their crews when it comes to handling mobility devices. Thank you to delta and flytpa for taking good care of us!!
