February wasn’t about headlines… it was about responsibility. Fighting for better streets in neighborhoods that have waited too long. Protecting the spirit of Mardi Gras while making sure the culture is protected and reflects the values of the people who live here.. but also speaking up when something didn’t reflect who we are as a people. Parades rolling, music in the air, millions of eyes watching, and a city that never hides its truth. And in the middle of all that stood Helena Moreno carrying the weight that comes with leading a place like this. This month was about real work… pushing forward a plan to invest millions into repairing our streets and bringing paving work back in house so the city can fix problems faster. It was about public safety, coordinating with state resources to keep residents and visitors safe during one of the busiest times of the year.
