For 16 years, this game has been a part of my life. It taught me discipline, toughness, and how to keep going when things don’t go your way. But my journey with hockey didn’t go how I expected. My junior year, I was let go and told I wasn’t good enough. At the time, that was one of the hardest things I had ever heard. It felt like everything I worked for was just gone.
Looking back now, that moment ended up changing my life.
Instead of walking away from the sport, I found a different way to stay in it. I picked up a camera and started capturing the game from a new perspective. What started as just taking pictures quickly turned into something way bigger. I went all in, put the time in, and committed myself to improving every single day.
