Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d say: motor oil brands are absolutely crushing content marketing. ㅤ Seriously. A lot of them are way more dialed than the average brand, and there’s a lot you can learn from how they build creative. ㅤ BUT you have to know which ones to study. ㅤ Here are some of my favorites: ㅤ Mobil 1 ㅤ Mobil 1 does a great job with experience-driven content. ㅤ They’re deeply embedded in motorsports, got into e-sports early, and they’ve built a huge library of branded content around those worlds. Their organic presence is strong. ㅤ Honestly, I wish they’d go even harder on longer documentary-style storytelling. ㅤ Pennzoil ㅤ These guys are the GOATs. Pennzoil treats car culture like entertainment, and that’s why their content works so well. ㅤ The Joyride series made them the enthusiast oil brand in a lot of people’s minds. ㅤ They go big, and it pays off.
