The VEYRON 16.4 ‘Pur Sang’ has returned to Molsheim, paying a visit to the home of BUGATTI and the place where it was born.
The epithet ‘Pur Sang’ means thoroughbred in French and stands for what Ettore Bugatti called the essence of his automobiles. Launched in 2007 on a super exclusive five-unit-only production run, the ‘Pur Sang’ has been sold out within one day.
Its aesthetic ethos caters to one of the most important elements of BUGATTI’s design heritage: the iconic duo-tone-arrangement. But instead of two painting colors, two pure materials were used: visible carbon fibre and aluminium, both of which serve to emphatically emphasise the shape, lines and sculpture of the profile.
