(Part 2 / 4) When Ms. Wezi began working as a primary school teacher, upon obtaining her teaching certificate in 2018, she immediately caught the attention of her superiors and key education officials in the district government with the way she would go above and beyond for her students and colleagues.
In a short time, she was recruited to teach secondary school at Chilanga Secondary School, in Kasungu district, where she began teaching Biology, Agriculture, Chemistry and English to students who were being sponsored by The Sonder Project.
Even while teaching, Ms. Wezi remains a student herself, currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literature, and Linguistics at a local university.
“And who knows? I might go for my Master’s degree too – the sky is the limit, right?”
