300 Days Without Alcohol
I never thought I’d be able to accomplish this. Drinking was something very present in my life since high school. I got my 👀 on a full year.
Here are my 3 biggest takeaways so far:
1. Drinking isn’t a personality trait. It can just be something you choose or choose not to do. I always thought I was obligated to drink whenever the opportunity was there because it’s “who I was” and I didn’t want to miss out. I never tried giving up alcohol since all I thought about were upcoming events I’d probably drink at. It’s always our choice.
2. My mental clarity and productivity is up by like 1000%. I do not miss a single thing about waking up dehydrated or hungover. Even if it was just 1 strong drink the night before, my body would feel it. My recovery & performance in the gym would be effected for 2-3 days.
