This benefit is available for Californians who work for companies with 26 or more employees. 😷 If you work full-time, you have access to 80 paid sick leave hours, which you can use for different COVID-related reasons. These 80 hours are split into two categories: 🔹 The first category (40 hours) can be used if: you get COVID; if a family member has COVID and you need to look after them; you need to get a COVID test or vaccine; you need time to recover after getting the COVID vaccine; or you need to take care of your child if they can't go to school/daycare because of a COVID-related closure/quarantine. 🔹 The second category (40 hours) can only be used if you or a family member tests positive for COVID.
