not everyone will like hearing this but… STOP asking people how they got to where they are. 1. Do your research, most times you can find a person’s resume or backstory online. 2. Following up on statement #1, after you do your research instead of asking about a person’s path, ask a more specific question that will benefit you in the long run. 3. How someone got to where they are should serve as motivation NOT a blueprint that you have to copy. It’s fine to have role models and aspire to have a job someone has but understand that you don’t have to follow in their exact footsteps to get that job. YOUR journey is YOUR journey.
