BIG NEWS! The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) announced yesterday the winners of its Mark of Excellence college journalism awards for Region 11, which Chapman News is a part of. Chapman News won the “Best All-Around Television Newscast,” beating out USC and ASU. Two other Chapman News stories were recognized as finalists in the “Food and Restaurant Journalism” category. Region 11 includes schools from California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, and the Mariana Islands.
