Black Hills, I’m 🍂falling🍂 for you. This past few days with travelsouthdakota has been full of incredible fall foliage, and some mouthwatering meals. Going into this trip I already knew South Dakota was stunning, but I was not ready to throw down on meals too. Save this post for your future trips, here’s a few of my favorite spots I hit. 1. Spearfish Canyon 2. Skogen Kitchen, Custer. So many people have recommended Skogen to me and now Isee why. An ever changing menu, fresh and inventive ingredients, and fantastic service. Pictured here is duck leg with a Thai curry sauce, Minnesota wild rice, green gooseberries, basil, mint, carrot, and toasted pine nuts. The salad with a truffle champagne vinaigrette before also was 🔥. 3. Rushmore Brewery / Pounding Fathers, Custer - I didn’t expect a 7 course meal with wine pairings from a brewery, but these folks know their stuff.
