Earlier this month, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC) announced they will achieve 100% renewable energy by 2040 (previously by 2050) and also up their mid-term target to 60% by 2030. This is a big victory as greenpeaceeasia Taipei office has been actively campaigning for them to reconsider their renewables target. ⁣ ⁣ TSMC is the world’s 3rd largest semiconductor manufacturer.
