Orange Chicken
Chicken Mix
2 lbs cubed chicken thighs
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp onion
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/3 cup corn starch
Orange Sauce:
Juice of 2 oranges
2 tsp orange zest
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp garlic paste
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Thai Chili Honey
Thai Chili Peppers
Corn Starch Slurry
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
1. Mix everything for the chicken mix and set aside for at least 30 mins.
2. Fry chicken at 350F until light brown and then set aside for about 5mins. Then double fry until lit gets darker.
3. For the sauce, mix everything in a bowl and then put on a pan on medium heat and simmer for about 5 mins.
4. Then make your cornstarch slurry but combining cornstarch and water.
5. Put in the cornstarch slurry and cook until it thickens. Do not cook for too long or it will really thicken like a paste.
6. Mix the chicken in and garnish with green onions.
