Imagine high school students getting so amped up about math and physics that they cheer and shout! 🎉
At Casco Bay High School in Maine, teams of students design, test, and tinker with model car designs in an attempt to build the fastest—and slowest—cars. When they race their cars in a derby at the end of the project, an atmosphere of competition and celebration builds engagement. And the complex math, engineering, and physics they’ve done have become meaningful. Only one team wins, but all students walk away with deeper understanding. 🏆
