“As I have furthered my undergraduate career here at UCSD and am in my third year, I have never been more proud of my Latine heritage and identity because it is here where I have gained such confidence and pride in my ethnic and cultural background. I like to call myself a Generation 1.5 Latina as my dad immigrated from Guatemala, and my mother is First-Gen from Mexico, so I am a mix of both beautiful worlds. During my time at UCSD, alongside other incredible spaces that have helped me develop into the powerful womxn I am today, I would like to shout out four Latine-centered environments that have become near and dear to my heart.
