Alaska is hands down the MOST unique states in the US. The state is 2.5 times bigger than Texas, and it's the only state that you can't drive directly to the capital to. You actually have to take a flight there, as well as other parts of Alaska. We visited Alaska during the first week of November and it felt like we hit almost every season. It wasn't as cold as I thought it was going to be, but we for sure caught snow but also Fall colors.
