In December 2018, a group of 25 WestJetters visited our first ever 787 Dreamliner at the Boeing Delivery Center in Everett, Washington, shortly after it came off the factory line and out of the paint shop. It was the first time anyone from WestJet had the chance to see our completed Dreamliner, so the excitement level was high for everyone. The familiarization trip (a.k.a. FAM trip) is an important step in bringing a new aircraft into our fleet. It allows the teams that have been working on various aspects of safely and efficiently operating a new plane type to have access to the aircraft to validate all their plans. Hundreds of WestJetters have been working for more than a year to bring this fantastic new aircraft into our fleet, and we can't wait to welcome you on board one of our Dreamliners in the near future.
