A top British spy operating inside the Irish Republican Army (IRA) during the Troubles in Northern Ireland cost more lives than he saved, a report has found. The Troubles lasted from the late 1960s till 1998, during this time British troops were deployed in Northern Ireland and the IRA sought to end
