This was a grant announced by the government on 21st December 2021 to give assistance to businesses within the hospitality industry that may have been further affected by the Omicron variant. To be eligible for this grant your business has to be one that: •Is liable for business rates and has premises on the Council’s rating list as at 30 December 2021 •The premise must have been occupied on 30 December 2021 (not empty) •The business must have been trading on 30 December 2021 Businesses are only eligible where their main service falls within hospitality, leisure or accommodation. Where a business provides other services, the main service will be determined by assessing whether or not 50% of the overall income of the business falls into one of these eligible categories.
