Did you hear the news? This morning on @gmb Martin Lewis of @moneysavingexp revealed that the deadline for self assessment tax returns had changed to November 30th. 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥???!!! Don’t worry. It’s not true. We thought we’d missed something but we haven’t. To explain: Martin said that in January, many people email to ask when the actual deadline is and are usually panicking that they aren’t going to submit their return on time. So to counter that, his advice was to set it in your calendar that the deadline date was 30th November in order to give yourself enough time to get it done without the last minute panic.
