#RanthambhoreNationalPark was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1957 and in 1974 it gained the protection of the Government of India’s Project Tiger conservation programme. Since then, the numbers of resident tigers have been increasing thanks to dedicated conservation efforts in the area.
Our lodge,
#SherBagh, is part of the SNS Foundation, which has been working tirelessly to create social impact among rural communities. Achieving economic self-reliance and co-existing harmoniously with the environment has been the goal, ever since it was established in 1976.
As guests, we will contribute to this beautiful project with a small conservation contribution fee, which is used to cover expenses related to the 'Rewilding Programme', like the monthly rents paid to farmers. These ‘connecting’ pieces of land together act as safe wildlife corridors in the region.
