A rehabilitated Andean condor was released back into the wild in Mendoza, Argentina, on November 3. The condor, named Angel by wildlife rehabilitators, was first rescued in September by the Fundacion Cullunche, who found evidence of poisoning by toxic baits, a local nonprofit said. Andean condors are endangered and principally threatened by the use of these poisons, the local nonprofit said.
