I finally made it to the historic missioninnhotel Festival of Lights! ✨ like many of y’all I’ve seen tons of Pinterest perfect shots of the Mission Inn and I was really curious for the “internet vs. reality” experience with these spectacular lights! first off, it’s such a fantastic vibe and all of Downtown Riverside is truly decked out in it’s holiday finery. we got to check out a bunch of the cute antique stores and visit the very pink Gingerbread Shop which I highly recommend! second, I recommend going before sunset and being there as the lights are turned on at 5pm! it got soooo crowded so quickly and if you want to walk through the hotels entrance there was already a long line by 5:10. we got there about 3:15 pm and there was plenty to look at around Downtown Riverside before the switch on! to go inside the hotel you do need a reservation or perhaps get lucky asking for the bathroom 🫣 it’s a super lovely vibe in the lobby and there’s a giant gingerbread house!
