Today, Lt. Dave Hernandez, along with the Venerable Yingying Shi, the Abbot of Shaolin Temple, announced the opening of the North American Shaolin Kung Fu Tournament. The competition attracted more than 1,200 Shaolin disciples from over 40 states in the U.S., as well as from countries including Canada and Mexico. On behalf of the #LASD, Temple station Lt. Mike Moen spoke at the Shaolin Welcome Banquet. During the event, dignitaries from various fields witnessed the top performers of martial arts. Lt.
