Over 15+ years shooting South Asian Weddings and I’ve learned a few key things I wanna share with you guys: 1- South Asian weddings are truly a journey and a process. From getting ready to making sure all the moving pieces are in action for jam packed schedules with back to back ceremonies, family portraits, couple portraits, dance performances, etc, you need to be mentally ready for long (but fun) days. 2- Family portraits with guests - as much as couples don’t want to be stuck on stage taking pictures for 2+ hours, this sometimes can present challenges when the parents want time for guests to meet the couple and take a portrait with them. 💡They key is finding a common ground that makes everyone happy.
