Happy 1st Birthday The Parlour!
Exactly 12 months ago I gave birth to a new Media Mastermind to disrupt how experts get publicity.
It wasn’t focused on bombarding journalists with god-awful pitches.
It was focused on what I personally witnessed every day in the newsroom of one of the world’s best 24 sports newsroom:
Storytelling.
I named the mastermind The Parlour because I leaned into The Bloomsbury group.
A bunch of intellectuals who would come together regularly to share their story with the world.
I purposely started small with The Parlour because as a former Management Consultant I know the true judge of ANY work is the output.
The wins.
Time and time again I hear from people whining in this industry that they invested in learning about publicity and that they never got any media wins.
So rather than focussing on building a big fat community (that I don’t have the time to serve) or glamming myself up into some BS icon…
…I chose to focus on WINS.
