BREAKING: Filipino activists are blocking access to the Shell import terminal in Batangas, Philippines. They’re calling on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and world governments to make fossil fuel companies pay for damages experienced by impacted communities. ⁣ ⁣ Climate activists on kayaks and the Greenpeace Ship Rainbow Warrior are blocking Shell’s import terminal to call the attention of the Philippine government to make climate polluters stop drilling and start paying for the loss and damage they have caused.⁣ ⁣ Oil, coal, and gas companies like Shell are historically responsible for much of the emissions globally, and have profited massively from business activities that have caused immeasurable harm to people. These companies need to pay communities who are currently bearing the costs of the harms caused by the #ClimateCrisis.⁣ ⁣ Demand #ClimateJusticeForAll and #MakePollutersPay.
