Volunteers with @youcanvotenc visited Mecklenburg County Detention Center Central today to educate residents on their rights. Many do not know they can REGISTER if: 1. At least 16-years-old 2. Are a U.S. citizen 3. Are not currently serving a felony sentence and are not currently on probation or parole for a felony conviction Many do not know if they are awaiting trial or serving a misdemeanor, they can VOTE if: 1. Are registered to vote 2. Will be 18 years old by election day 3.
