Two DJDS students took home top honors at the statewide Moot Court court tournament hosted by the University of Colorado Law School. Ari Erlich ranked first overall and won the award for best performer (among 150 competitors) at the tournament. Mia Wexler placed second after the three initial rounds and went on to win the award for top performer in the tournament’s final round. Moot Court is a simulation of oral arguments in United States appellate courts, and the state tournament is part of a national program called the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. In our first year participating in the tournament, DJDS entered 11 competitors, several of whom placed in the top ten. As the top two state finalists, Ari and Mia will advance to compete in the national tournament in April. Mazel tov Ari and Mia đŸ™Œ
