On this opening day of
#COP28, world leaders will gather at the
#climatechange summit in Dubai.
We believe this is a milestone moment when the world will take stock of its progress on the Paris Agreement.
At such a time, White Desert is reminded of our place in preserving the planet’s wildernesses and our own pathway to Net Zero.
Over the course of 2023, White Desert has continued to practically utilise green technology to minimise our impact on the environment. Having been carbon neutral since 2007, we are now going a step further and investing in Blue Carbon projects, such as sea grass restoration that can absorb carbon radically faster than more traditional tree planting initiatives.
With these projects, we will actually become carbon negative, so that our net effect is actually removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere rather than adding to it.
